Ok so I can't speak for every house obviously but I know that for most of them that question is not an ok thing to ask a PNM early in the week of at all, so it shouldn't happen at a point where you're put on the spot early
Preference round can be different since it's typically way more special and girls get to see a more inside view of the sisterhood so it might come up in which you have to gauge if you feel comfortable and feel like you can be honest then just say it but if you're not sure being so honest about that is good then you can always give an answer of how you aren't set on one and you've met so many people and though that sounds vague to say you have to think that if your not feeling comfortable enough to be honest that's something to consider too...
Go with your instinct on that but for the most part you shouldn't have to deal with that question.
