Many chapters require a recommendation in order to offer you a bid. If you don't get recs, you won't get cut from every house because of it, but you'll be limiting your options for sure. Idk which ones care about recs and which ones don't, but just try to get one for each house so that not having a rec won't be the reason you don't get a bid at your favorite house. Also a few sororities will accept recommendation or sponsorship letters from collegiate members but the majority require them to be written or filled out by an alum.
