rec letters

How important are rec letters for formal recruitment? Are they absolutely necessary? Also, if you do not know any alumnae that were in sororities how do you get rec letters for specific chapters?

Rec letters are important at FSU. Go to Greekchat.com and read the threads under "sorority recruitment." There are suggestions as to how to go about getting recs for sororities if you think you don't know anyone. (But you probably know more alumnae than you think.) There are also several threads about recruitment at FSU that are helpful.
