I am a legacy of DG (my mom was one not at FSU though) and I was wondering if it would help my chances of getting a bid to this chapter?

There are probably 50-100+ legacies to each house at FSU that go through recruitment each year. Being a legacy can only guarantee you an invitation to one set of parties after open house round. After that you have to be pretty outstanding/special in a lot of different ways, and other legacies/PNMs will be just as outstanding. Being a legacy can sometimes help and sometimes hurt because you are almost judged harder than a regular PNM. DG is a great house at FSU, but every house is great and full of wonderful women. You need to keep an open mind.

Being a legacy won't help/hurt you very much but some houses take it into consideration more than others

Is this true for fraternities too? I'm a double legacy for Phi Delt and Pike. Do they give extra points for legacies?

Some houses also have to give bids to legacies. DG is not one of those houses, but it is a thing

ADPI will always consider a legacy, unless they are total rejects. They have to get approve from the national chapter to drop a legacy. I think you should be considered if you are a legacy.

Being a legacy doesn't help you very much at all especially with DG.

Why wouldn't being a legacy really help much with dg? Do they need letters of rec too?

I thought letters of recommendation were really important with all the sororities?

You need to get recs to all sororities at FSU. They don't guarantee anything necessarily, but having them could make the difference in getting invited back to certain sororities.

Dg's at Florida state only care about looks and money. They're the hottest and richest girls on campus. If you're not either or both then don't worry about your legacy status

I did not have a letter of rec for my house at FSU, I am a KD. KD is the top house at FSU, not DG.( the anchors think they are) but they are not. Most FSU frat guys like KD over DG. Having friends in the house helps, and being a legacy helps, but not mandatory. Impressing the board when you rush is the best bet. Being friendly and out coming also helpful.

What planet are you on KD? They are not the top house. DG RULES AT FSU. What a joke.... a bid from DG or KD? I will pick DG at Tally any day of the week. ANCHORS AWAY .......
