Delta Gamma
Alpha Phi
Kappa Alpha Theta
Alpha Delta Pi
Kappa Kappa Gamma\n\n\n\n\nThough ADPi is still fairly new and much smaller than the other chapters, this is a rough time for Kappa. They don't seem to do well academically, their philanthropy lacks, and most importantly, their sisterhood seems really weak. It's very obvious that the women of ADPi love each other, and when it comes to "ranking" sororities, I think that's more important than being social and/or good looking.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a perspective from the outside. I don't hate Greek Life so no one can peg me for that. My sister is in a sorority at another school and it has really helped her grow in a positive way while she has been there. I have at least one friend in all of the sororities, some I am better friends with than others.
With all of that being said, here is my perspective - that is or leave it.
Alpha Delta Pi- ADPi stuggles to get members, no one can deny that. However, all the girls that are in it love it and are glad to be there. With only 5 sororities on campus I think they were a needed addition to allow more people to be apart of the Greek system. They have had many efforts to get new members and I think they just need some outside help and more creative programming. Ultimately, I think there is a place for everyone in the Greek system and ADPi provides one of those places.
Alpha Phi- Phi is the most visible sorority on campus to me. Many of the girls are actively involved in other organizations and are often some of the top leaders in them. However, I often here them bashing their own members. While I understand you may not like everyone in your sorority this seems like I could only cause issues. Most of the girls are very hardworking and dedicated and have a wide variety of friends. Out of all the sororities they seem to be the most well rounded.

The sorority system here is beyond ridiculous. Never have I heard of a person being able to decline a bid and rerush the next year. THAT IS UNHEARD OF AT STATE SCHOOLS. Further, legacies aren't given any respect here--when you cut a girl whose mom lived IN-HOUSE at Drake, that is beyond terrible. Honestly, I have yet to meet a sorority girl I respect. This post is not coming from a bitter girl that got cut; rather, just an observer to this ridiculous system. GDI and proud.
