In all honesty it should be your job to go find out which organization you want to be a part of and which one you will better yourself at. With that being said I have a few comments that i think most people can agree with. Sigma Chi has come and made a splash on this campus/community in a way a lot of us didn't think would happen. They do things that all frats here should be doing, clearly no organization is perfect but they are doing things right and seem to have good brotherhood and good relationships with greek life and organizations around campus and it doesnt seem like they are slowing down in anyway.
I was talking to my big a few weeks ago about phi psi and the things she was saying about phi psi sounds nothing like what they are now. she said when she was here they were one of the top houses with nice and fun guys, since then, they have fell off as an organization (probably with changes to their top positions over the last few years.) they now seem more interested in numbers, being top house and trying to find attractive guys who want to party, with no real substance/ general ideal system in place. sad actually. I'm sure they have fun and all that but to other greek life organizations their chapter is becoming irrelevant and not heading in the right direction.
Again these examples are things you will probably find out yourself when hanging around guys from both. My post shouldn't sway you one way or another. go find out for yourself.

The person who commented above is pretty on base but I’d just like to add some things..
Sigma Chi: definitely has made a face on campus, a lot more than was expected for them being the newest fraternity. They are very involved philanthropically and try to keep good relations with fellow greek organizations. Their Fall ’15 pledge class though is very disappointing. Very average/random guys that don’t really have a presence like the older guys in Sigma Chi. The fall pledge classes of the sororities don’t really enjoy them/hanging out with them, but older sorority girls like Sigma Chi. They are slowly getting better, but need to do a MUCH better drop in recruiting whether it be this winter or in the fall..
Phi Psi: Again, person above is pretty accurate. They definitely have lost some sense of ideals. Some people hate to accept this, but they are still one of the top houses at DePaul. Phi Psi needs to recruit in quality over quantity definitely as of late. Fall ’15 pledge class definitely has some great guys (but not all of them), and top sorority pledge classes from this past fall love hanging out with them. Phi Psi NEEDS to get back on track though, otherwise they could fall down the ladder..
Go check out both chapters though, as neither as perfect, but both are great in their own ways. Find the one that you think is best for you. Good luck!
