Scared of rushing

by: PNM

i might be going to DePaul in the fall but i'm nervous about sorority recruitment. I'm Indian and im from a far away state so i feel like im automatically at a disadvantage compared to the majority of girls that go to DePaul and will be rushing at the same time. how likely is it that i will be judged based off that? Im also just overall nervous because i feel like i won't have as many rec letters or connections there as all the other girls will so this is something that’s kinda making me unsure.

Formal recruitment is great experience but also can be extremely overwhelming. I would go to the involvement fairs to meet with sororities. If your feeling to overwhelmed by formal recruitment I would go through the COB process it is way more chill and you get to know the sororities more intimately. Also rec letters really don’t matter and legacies hold a little weight but not as much as you think. Also you won’t be judged from being out of state there are plenty of girls that transfer or are international students that rush.
