question about depaul greek life
by: incoming freshmani'm starting as a freshman this fall and am maybe interested in joining a sorority but everything online makes it seem like depaul sororities are all preppy blonde girls.... how welcoming is the community to girls who might be more chill/laid back? is there a lot of diversity in terms of race and lgbt girls?

Greek life at DePaul is nothing like how it is at state schools or schools in the south. It is much more laid back and people are friends with other Greek orgs and have friends who aren't in Greek life. There are a few sororities that are very diverse and some that aren't, in the simplest terms. It wouldn't hurt to rush and see which house fits your personality and if you don't feel comfortable, many women drop the process. But I would say that the Greek population is in fact diverse.
