Some girls in this group are great. I've met some of my daughter's friends and we were gladly paying due for her to be in this sorority. Come spring quarter, some girls ended up bullying girls outside of the sorority. This information made its way to me when my daughter's friends outside of Chi O were getting harassed by her own sisters in the chapter. We stopped paying dues and our daughter is no longer in this so called sisterhood. Paying for girls to be nasty and cyberbullies is truly disgusting. I wish some girls had been reported to the police. Many of these girls also encouraged my daughter to drink when she didn't want to. I wish these girls got caught drinking and were removed from Greek life and the dorms.

This chapter is full of freaks. You will be counting down the minutes until your session is over with them during recruitment. It was actually painful to sit through because the girls are weird and dorky.

I've yet to meet a Chi O girl that wasn't a complete sweetheart. Some of them are party girls but most aren't the type to go out - more like wine night kind of girls. But honestly very sweet and smart girls. My sister is a sophomore this year and planning to rush and I don't want to push her towards Chi O but that's where I'd feel the most comfortable with her being given how real their sisterhood actually seems.

definitely not party girls or social by any means but they seem to have a great sisterhood and make their presence known on campus. some of the classiest and smartest girls and they care deeply about their philanthropy and academics. one of the higher middle tiers.

definitley middle/top house, if you're into rankings, probably 3rd or 4th. cant really comepte with aphi/dz but usually dont even try to get those girls. gets a really good pc every year and always delivers on the high academics, communtiy service and sisterhood. struggle with being involved in other peoples philanthropies but super into their own like leadership and activities. consistently like the good girls on campus

I'm rubbed the wrong way by the fact that many girls in sorority have been known for being involved in a bullying incident last year. Specific younger girls should've been taken out of this sorority. It gives a bad name to the sisterhood and these girls shouldn't be cyberbullying. Among spreading rumors within parental ears, it's very unsatisfactory that some girls weren't disciplined. I'm a parent from CA and I sent my daughter to DePaul for it's Catholic values. While visiting my daughter, i overheard some girls (wearing Chi O attire) talking badly about another girl who was presumably not in the sorority. As a LCSW and psychologist, these girls were spreading rumors about another girl in an attempt to ruin her reputation. While unspeakable things were said, I heard verbatim, "even if it's not true, she's not pretty so if she's disliked, who cares". This is very upsetting because I'd hate for my daughter to be part of this organization where there are other girls who are openly bullying another girl. This incident occurred outside of Brownstones in the student center. I almost recorded the situation and sent it to the president of panhel. This type of activity should be reported to the police. Cyberbullying is not to be tolerated. These girls were not only representing the sorority, but the school's honors program. Where standards of character are high, this is unacceptable. I will be speaking with the dean about some of these issues.
