Not really sure why SPE is still around. I've neither seen nor heard of a SPE event taking place and their recruitment gets worse each year (50 bids and 14 pledges this year), which can't be helped by their reputation for particularly harsh pledging. I don't know why anyone would submit to such strenuous pledging to join such a mediocre organization. I personally believe that SPE is on its way out and will lose their Patterson Court house within the next 3-4 years.

Despite accusations of not being "that hot," the gentlemen of Phi Gamma Delta have the strongest brotherhood on campus and a growing reputation. They certainly don't try to be the frattiest group of bros but they have definitely come out of the "dungeons and dragons days." No matter what you think of them, you've got to admit that they're not wrong.

Some people say these guys aren't that hot, but they really are. Islander is the best party of the year, and I saw some dude dressed up as a mythical creature for a party; I was impressed. They have some athletes who think they can play volleyball too, so they're pretty sportsy.

Good dudes, just not very many of them. It's hard for them to have a presence on campus, but they offer a lot in terms of service/educational programming.
