i am confusion
by: HmmmI plan on rushing this fall and I have followed all of the sororities on campus. I have a private IG account and around 3-4 requested to follow me back and I accepted. Since then, there have been a good number of girls from one sorority especially that have been requesting to follow me. I have accepted them all and they all like my pics when I post and always see my stories. I am a sophomore and know about dirty rushing and examples of it. I have had friends who have been dirty rushed. However, I am wondering if this is actually considered to be dirty rushing or if this is normal?? I have heard that a lot of times, sororities stalk your socials to see what you're like. 1) is that normal? 2) is what is happening to me normal?

Honestly people think anything is “dirty rushing” the actual bylaws of dirty rushing is having an active sister BUY you anything and having you buy them anything, dirty rushing is also promising a bid. Saying “see you at bid day” or “you already have a bid”, etc is promising a bid. Even if youre in day 1 of recruitment and someone tells you “see you tomorrow” that can also be seen as dirty rushing bc thats them promising you’ll be called back the next day. A lot of girls throw dirty rushing around but those are in fact he bylaws of what “dirty rushing” is! (:

Girls are probably just following you to get an insight of who you are as a person. Following each other on social media isn’t considered dirty rushing, if anything take it as a compliment that girls even want to follow you! Have fun with it, reach out to them and just enjoy the process. The girls just took an interest in you, don’t be scared or overwhelmed!!

Definitely not dirty rushing.. if you're private they had no choice but to follow since they can't see your profile. Most of the time girls in houses don't tell each other to follow girls. They probably just see that some of their sisters follow you and decided to follow you. Take it as a compliment. It's not that serious
