networking before spring 2018 recruitment

I didn't have time to research dates for Fraternity "Rush" etc, so I want to present myself as soon as possible for Spring of 2018 and begin networking in order to build a strong relationship.
I'm a junior, and a transfer student.
The school I am going to is CSUN.
Any advice?
In terms of meeting up with them and introducing myself.
