it’s fun but not as hardcore as southern schools

CSUN has the capacity to be a big greek school with over 39,000 students. Greek life just has to put themselves out there and be transparent about it all. I know smaller schools with bigger houses than us. But it's def good to see greek community getting bigger and making changes so we can get there.

CSUN has usually been referred to as a minor greek-life kind of school because of its location next to UCLA and USC, prob the most well known CA schools for academics and old greek life, so how is that a valid comparison? If your into lit, old fashioned, valley house parties and the occasional clubbing event this is deff a great choice. It's also the oldest Cal State University, and the houses that are established are actually very impressive. The best house for frats is almost unanimously the ZBT house, and sororities would go to either kappa or Alpha xi delta. Some of the cultural ones even have some pretty impressive houses. Overall, would give CSUNs greek life a 7/10

Big social scene

The best parties at CSUN are definitely not the IFC or PHC. Like yea they have houses but most are tiny. In other bigger schools those are thriving. But honestly the best parties and the biggest physical houses are multicultural ones. I would look into all the councils and all the fraternities and sororities not just IFC & PHC since in my opinion they don’t get their money’s worth. It’s LA there is more than just house parties & they haven’t realized that.

Fraternities and Sorrorities are getting better. Let's make greek life more present at a majority Geed Commuter School.

CSUN is lit if you're in SAE, Sigma Chi, or Sig Ep. Kkg, alpha phi, and Alpha xi delta are awesome houses as well. The other houses are improving. Let's make CSUN the best cal state for greek life!!!

CSUN has a small greek life scene; but once you're involved in it, then it's an amazing experience if you're in a top tier sorrority of fraternity. Idk too much about middles and lowers, but hey at least you're not a GDI ;)

CSUN isn't that great of a place for GDIs. It's a vast commuter school that lacks in social engagements. Get involved and go Greek. You'll see what I mean ;)

Csun has been a lot of fun for me. I would definitely recommend getting involved with the Greek life here. It will help you make friends and you will always have parties to go to. The philanthropies are another plus. You will be able to make a difference and have have a good time while you are doing it. Being in a sorority has been one of the best experiences of my life, but it is demanding with your time. Make sure you are ready to dedicate a lot of your time to your sorority.
