Honestly, they are the most down to earth guys and I see them on campus events! They might seem weird, but they are truly the realest people in greek life. Its taking them a while to be chapter but once a chapter they are going to rock this school!

Super nice guys! I see a lot of potential in them and they do a lot of great work. I see a lot of hate on this site, but I can also see how the people that hate on this organization repeat the same false information over and over again. I really hope Greek unity improves at CSUSM

Sigma Chi doesn't give out charters to just anyone, you have to earn it. At UCSD, it took us the better part of 3 years to get one, but the journey was worth the wait. Ignore these jokers and just stick to the program and focus on rushing quality, not quantity. If you need help with rush, fundraising, philanthropy or exchanges, give us a shout and we will send some guys your way. Listen to Damon. He was there in our early years. In Hoc boys and good luck.

Pretty mediocre bunch as far as a fraternity goes. They are pretty involved on campus, but when it comes to their "fraternity" they lack brotherhood and they lack a social presence. It's taken them way too long to charter and they have been a colony forever. I would rank them a grade A club, but they aren't much of a fratenity

Although they are small, they are growing and are the sweetest guys on campus i've ever met. Easily the most involved group of individuals and you see their faces every where. Although they aren't a chapter yet, they are growing and on the road to becoming one where they can do more social activities and do things a real Sigma Chi chapter can do. They are super inclusive, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE gets a bid, just like any other fraternity/sorority on campus.

These guys are great. I don't understand why so many of these posts are against them. I feel like all people say are that they don't party enough or they accept everyone. I feel like they can be respectively selective, and I don't know why Greek culture is so measured by how much people rage. Sad if you ask me...As long as these guys stay kind and inclusive I know I will respect them. These comments make me fear for the CSUSM Greek community though...a lot of hate where support should be.

To be completely honest, these guys are just okay. Some guys are cool, but you can tell that EVERYONE gets a bid. Not a lot of people really care about them, they don't do much. Compared to other Sig chapters (like UCSD), they're disappointing. They definitely need more exclusivity and more social events in order to get anywhere. For now, SAE will be staying at the top. Learn from them, boys.

yes, because the sigs raising $8,000+ dollars (as a colony) in one semester, doesn't do much compared to the long established CSUSM SAE chapter raises (disappointingly) in a year. LOL.

if money speaks to you that is unfortunate. The reason of fraternity seems to be more quantative for you I am guessing. Hence, how Sigma Chi will bash on SAE rather than realize that given the system ran at that University it would mean an ultimate powerhouse of both Fraternities leading the Greek System TOGETHER. Yet, fall under the shameful mentality of "money speaks" and you are no better than them. Grow up boys and become men. -GDI who chose to comment on here.

I would agree that both organizations, and individuals in general, should not bash on eachother for gain. However, I don't feel like whoever commented was trying to say money is what it is all about. I feel like the person was suggesting that the initial commentor was wrong in establishing SAE's "dominance" when sigma chi has done a lot of hard work to perform well and get things done. Like raising money to battle cancer. Having said that, I do hope for a peaceful community but ALL sides need to cooperate.

Such an absolute joke. Zero brotherhood and they take a San Diego Chargers mentality when it comes to getting their charter "there's always next semester boys". They are a guaranteed bid though which shows in their membership
