informal recruitment opportunities

I am a current first year that participated in recruitment. I was cut from all six sororities this morning before the development rounds, and you can probably assume that I am devastated by that. I was super excited to join Greek life and I feel like someone slapped a big shoe that knock me to the floor.

My Rho Gamma told me that I can always participate in informal recruitment, and the way she described it the process sounded more like something I would be better at than talking to three girls for five minutes each about my major and the vacation I took during winter break.

Does anyone have any idea how the different houses go about with this process, and when should I start seeking out to houses and to whom should I contact?
