Just because you may not have been aware of SDT's existence until you came to campus doesn't mean SDT hasn't long meant the world to a great group of wise women! Each NPC sorority chooses their members based upon time-honored purposes, policies, standards and values. How and why each group empowers and develops women, and expands nationally, might affect how well-known it is or can ever become. SDT has only been around since 1917; many NPC groups have a 20, 30, or close to 50 year head-start in their founding date over SDT. No one ought to think or say SDT is lower tier in NPC due to comparably smaller total numbers of chapters/initiates.
