bizarre recruitment process
by: thoughtsDoes anyone else find the rush process here weird? Like dg/theta would be just as exclusive and have the same vibe of girls join regardless of whether or not they offerred bids before rushing, made lists, and barred re-rushing sophomores? I just do not understand why the process has to be so needlessly stressful. Sometimes I feel like they don’t actually care about whether they vibe with a person if they have a lot of instagram followers, are wealthy, etc. Also, evaluating people on how wealthy they are is bizarre like what if nothing comes up to indicate one’s financial status. It’s funny because panhel tries to claim that bid promising is ineffictive but does not deny its existence lol

Lol ok dg and theta are literally defined as top houses because they go off of wealth, popularity, and looks. If that upsets you, join one of the other chapters on this campus that don't do that. You don't have to consider those two houses to be your top choice; it's just that almost everyone wants to be in those houses though because they represent wealth/status/popularity more than just simply "vibes". Plus tons of girls have good "vibes" but enough girls both have good vibes and the other things to fill up the theta/dg pledge class.
Lists are made before rush because theta/dg compete with each other for the best of the best. Same with big promising (although that's super risky, but lol who's gonna report dg/theta for promising them a bid?). In terms of barring rerushing, it's just that makes people look desperate for popularity instead of sisterhood and why would dg/theta want that when they have so, so many people to chose from?

Different person but this is 100% TRUE. I am not affiliated but I’ve researched the process like crazy (was dropped super quickly last year and wanted to figure out how the process worked). You don’t have to be a DG to know this, I have some friends in the different orgs
