I'm in another sorority but my friend is a new member in AOII! She's really loving her experience and has made a lot of new friends. I know that she's already really close with her big. They've also had a bunch of fun sisterhood events this semester and they really seem to go above and beyond in terms of making new members feel welcomed and loved. I get a very warm fuzzy vibe from them, they're def probably the most into sisterhood of the sororities.

AXO is also really cool! I'm not sure why you're comparing them - are you considering joining? I would say overall out of all the sororities AXO prob has the best philanthropy, that's their thing. There's a good amount of overlap between girls who want to join AOII and AXO. I would say overall AOII's stereotype is more sweet/lovey, while AXO's is a little edgier vibe (in a cool way!!)

Tl:dr AOII seems like a lovely community for people who are super invested in sisterhood events and tight friendships. AXO seems like a lovely community for women who are highly invested in philanthropy and social service. Both have aspects of each though, there are girls in AOII who are really involved in social justice movements and girls in AXO who are super into their sisterhood. Both are great, not really worth comparing imo, just follow your heart!

im in a diff. sorority but a lot of my friends ended up leaving aoii. i dont think this is a problem anymore but i think there was a big divide in what people wanted out of aoii... someone from aoii will attack me for saying that because the same thing happened to my friends when they honestly expressed their views on aoii, but hey i say give it a shot and if you have an overall good gut feeling about them then go for it! i think my friends who joined didnt get that warm fuzzy feeling as described above and ended up joining just to be in a sorority, so take it with a grain of salt and go with how you feel + dont just join to be part of an organization bc youll prob be dissatisfied (this goes for any organization)

one of my friends just graduated and stuck with aoii the whole time, but she hated every minute of the last year even though she loved it at first
every person has a very different experience but realize that experiences can change over time and even if you love it at first, that may not be the case forever
she also only felt comfortable talking about her experience after graduating so realize that this is a lot more nuanced than you might think

They love pie. They support girls who love pie. If you don't love pie, then there might be a problem. The key is to like pie. Girls who eat pie together, get schwasty at mixers together.
