gamma phi vs aopi

I just got my bid, and I'm super excited to be in Gamma Phi. I personally didn't talk to anyone weird, and all my conversations were with my really cool, relatable, relaxed girls which was exactly what I was looking for. AOPi really freaked me out during pref, but if you're looking for something like that then good for you I guess?

gphi and aoii were my top two houses during recruitment, both of which invited me back to pref.
i found i had really good, deep, intellectual conversations with women at both houses. i actually had consistently better conversations with gphis than aoiis, but i did have aoii's pref party right after gphi and I was very tired, so that may have been on me a bit.
i ended up preffing aoii because i really really loved their development day party. i had great convos with aoiis on development day. The sisterhood stories really resonated with me at aoii this day and i remember leaving the party thinking about intentional single preferencing for aoii. i went to gphi's development party later and left conflicted.
chose aoii after preference because when i was there, i just had such a strong feeling of home. Was actually quite conflicted still while on my way to sign the MRABA but i trusted my gut and am hoping for the best.
the women at both houses were amazing and they're comparable chapters—both very diverse, intelligent, focused on sisterhood, and seemingly determined to do good in the world. I think whichever girls you vibe with more will end up being better for each PNM since they are quite similar. :)

Same!! Can't wait to meet you! I think a strong part of why I preff'd aopi was because I didn't want to do the "Gamma" "Phi" call and answer haha, that was a little too grade school.
