A fairly "high middle" sorority. They tend to be really academic and a bit driven in academics/internships etc. Overall they seem to have a pretty good sisterhood and are genuinely pretty cool women.

They are a strong "high middle" house on campus. Not sure why people are calling them WASPy. They really aren't. They are a bit of the "higher maintenance" types. Some are chill, but overall, they aren't my kind of women- a little into image and status. However, I will grant them the fact that they have a strong enough sisterhood and do a lot of good for the community. If you feel like you click with them, then they are a good enough house.

Call me crazy, but I'm sorta buying in to this whole "get in on the ground floor" thing. I'm looking at their website, and I do feel like it might be a place for me. I have to admit, that I hope they get a house soon. I wish they would post their plans for a house on their website. Other then that I'm thinking this is a good fit for me. Plus I really like their long history at Columbia (being founded here and all). I'm going to try for it :)

I'm not sure why people are slagging on DG. They are nice group of women who really don't bother anyone. They have a good sisterhood, they enjoy various activities around campus. They seem diverse and eclectic. Why so harsh on them? I do agree that the myriad of pics with the backward hands is a little weird, but other then that, they are fine.

Looking through the websites and this page, I'm thinking that AOPi might really be the best fit for me. Is there plans to get a house? I really want to live in a house junior year.

Ya know - for a brand new group they are doing really, really well. They have an eclectic and diverse group of women. They appear to have a strong sisterhood and get good internships. Overall, they are really good so far.
