Doing a great job showing up at campus events! They recently won DG's anchor splash, so congrats!

Fiji is very middle tier along with beta. They lost their house, but their parties are still great! We love mixing with them, and they are always very welcoming. My seem standoffish to most, but you have to have a good sense of humor to get along with them. Better than SigChi and KDR, in my opinion, but below DSig, SigNu, and SigEp.

Gamma Phi Beta Sorority

Probably will never top DSig/SigNu/SigEp but they are real sweeties who know how to party... they have some bad eggs but most of them are seniors, and I love their new pledges! I love beta for how welcome I always feel there, very respected by the brothers. Sure, most of them are nerds, but they're awesome nerds! It's Columbia, you know?

I'm a senior who disaffiliated from Gamma Phi after spending most of my college experience as a sister. I disaffiliated for personal financial and familial reasons, which had nothing to do with Gamma Phi as a whole. I am fiercely protective of these women, and came on this page after discovering screenshots from alums of people saying these girls are not attractive, classy, involved, fun, and do not have a great sisterhood. I would like to say that if you're judging a group of girls based on their collective attractiveness, that's an awful thing to do. Each of these strong women is beautiful in their own right, and I will person challenge anyone to prove me wrong... say it to my face, and see what you have to say then. Also, regarding involvement, these women are the most involved of any sorority on campus, with most of the sorority holding leadership roles in at least one club, important internship, or job. In fact, a lot of the presidents of clubs on this campus are gamma phi women... just think about that next time you say they're not involved. This chapter also has one of the longest and most comprehensive philanthropies that we are involved in both on and off campus, building strong girls with girls on the run. Although these women know how to work hard, they also play hard, and I bet you would have an amazing time with any of them, both in regards to having fun and having engaging conversation. While many sisters do not seem to have a tight sisterhood to the public, when they are together they are fiercely loving and loyal. Maybe they don't show it because they don't like the way sororities are perceived on campus and don't want to give you any more ammunition to hit them with. Sure, gamma phi is a new chapter. Sure, a lot of people join it just to feel out sorority life as a whole... but the women who are in this chapter are the most amazing women you will meet, both on this campus and in the entire world. I dare you to say something negative about them in public, to my face, if you disagree.

a friend joined gphi... thought I'd see more of her now that she was in greek life too, but honestly they aren't very present anywhere on campus. hardly see her with any of her sisters too.

Ashamed that this organization is part of Columbia--good luck throwing away your careers to be housewives for SigEp and DSig bros!
