these are the tiers based on numbers, and they will probably continue to stay like this for a while - (in no order)
top : piphi, kappa, chio
middle : zeta, tridelt, KD
lower : aopi, adpi, phi mu, achio
every sorority has mixed types of girls and all have good and bad things about them. these are strictly tier based. not popularity or attractiveness or whatever. there are girls that are great and girls that honestly suck in EVERY single sorority.

I'm not sure where this person is getting these statistics from because the last chapter breakdown posted shows chi o, kappa, and pi phi taking around 110 girls; zta, tru delt, aoii, and kd each taking around 135 girls; and adpi, phi mu, and AXO taking between 140-160 PNMs

Very true. If you look at the number of girls that each chapter takes each year you will see that this is accurate. XO, KKG & PBP are very selective and take the fewest amount of girls. DDD, ZTA & KD are all selective and take more girls than the top three. AOPi took a lot more girls (due to low numbers if returning members). AOPi & Phi Mu are less selective than DDD, ZTA & KD. ADPi isn't able to be very selective at all and finally AXO will take anyone. This is all truth and can be verified by looking at the number of girls each chapter took this year thru Panhelleni.

KD is not selective. AXO still cuts people, regardless of what their perception is. Phi Mu, ADPi, KD and AOPi are similar/slightly vary in selectivity. DDD is more selective, ZTA even more. The others (XO, KKG, PBP) only chose people from their hometowns, cheer/pom, & pageant queens. Thats how it generally works.

Are based on quota. Each house has a number of girls to take. XO only taking xx amount has nothing to do with how selective they are, it has to do with the number of girls already in the sorority. PM, AXO, etc obviously take more bc they don't have as many girls. I'm amazed at the people who come on here and say things that aren't even remotely correct.

I went through rush this year and I can say that is how it was for the girls in my gamma chi group and girls from my hometown who went through. I would say that between the two groups this is about 20 people. Very few ended up with an opportunity to join XO, KKG, PBP (I am from out of state). AXO didn't cut anyone that I've heard of to this day. Every girl that I know had PM and AOPi left when it was down to 4 houses. Some had a combination of those 2 and 1 or 2 from the ZTA, DDD, KD group. Some still had ADPi and AXO left,but those were the 2 that most girls tried to cut from the first day. I'm just being completely honest. PNMs should know how it really works. So many girls are surprised and upset when they get cut from houses, especially at the beginning. This is what they should realistically prepare for. I am very happy with the house that I joined and everyone who I know is also happy. I have met girls in every single sorority and can honestly say that they ALL have great girls. PNMs keep an open mind and chances are that you will end up where you are supposed to. The process really does work.

Yep. That's pretty much how it goes for oos girls. Every girl I know was left with PM and AOPi when we were down to 4 houses. I'm pretty sure AOPi took the most girls of any house and even gave out a bunch of bids after bid day. Not sure how that all works but I do know of 2 girls who got late bids after a couple of weeks.

gave out a few, not a bunch, as did most, if not all sororities. I know ZTA gave a bid to a girl from Har-Ber who quit after first rounds because she got cut from KKG so the "selective" sororities are more than happy being second choice as well. Also, most girls in sororities DO NOT think that they are above one another.

I am being 100% honest here, I have never heard someone say they were "lucky" to get a bid from KD.
