question about chi omega

why is the chi omega here the psi chapter? if they were founded here, why aren't they the alpha chapter? i'm just honestly curious and haven't found anything online! thanks!

that's not how the naming goes and not every organization names chapters the same way, there's a good reason that you can't find it online

Nationally does their chapter naming backwards. So the single-letter chapters run from Psi to Alpha, then Psi Alpha to Alpha Alpha, etc. ("Omega" is reserved for deceased members.)
