description of each sorority

Hi all.
I'll be transferring to UA as a sophomore next year and I'm thinking about rushing. Can someone give me an honest, unbiased opinion of the types of girls in the main sororities? How hard is it to rush as a sophomore? Average cost per month?
I'm obviously new to all of this, but would like some basic info.
Leave any tips you might have.

Go on the Greek Life website and get to know each chapter that way. There is information about costs on there, as well as links to each chapter's website. Follow each chapter on social media and be sure to get at least 1 recommendation and one letter of support for each chapter. You won't get unbiased views on this website, just a lot of self ranking and trying to tear other chapters down. Good Luck!

I rushed as a sophomore transfer and made friends with alot of girls doing the same. It is hard without a doubt. The girls that are sophomores and get into "top houses" tend to be girls who were here last year and have lots of friends in house pulling for them. It is hard but not impossible. I received some hard cuts for being a sophomore in some houses. Other houses cut me for random things that had nothing to do with being a sophomore (I have friends in house and they let me know the reasons once I got cut) It really just depends. I know sophomore rushes in every house except two, so it is possible. At the end of the day I love my house so much and can't imagine being anywhere else. I promise it really all does work out. Keep your grades up, get involved on your current campus. Get to know girls in the houses here through connections of friends and such. Get really good recs!! like recs from alumni of that chapter. Chapter alumni support is not necessary but helps. Every house truly is wonderful and you will find all sorts of different girls in every house. Good luck

All the houses are fine. You have have to go where you know you will fit in and make similar friends.
Pi phi- hipsters of campus, very chill, lots of good girls
Kappa- a lot of crazy bible beaters, overall nice girls, they tend to have problems though
KD- hard to pinpoint, lots of crazy party girls, and bible beaters
Zeta- cheerleader type girls, very pretty, either really nice or really fake
Chio- it's a love hate thing, a lot are very self centered, and then you have some really sweet girls, big contrast
Adpi- a lot of really nice girls, not the most outgoing but they have their own style
Aopi- a random mixture, you have the intense party girls, and then the weird add ons
Phimu- iffy, party girls and then just weird randos
Axo- nice girls, very different, a lot seem to be entitled for some reason though
