didn't get a bid.

by:

I didn't receive a bid during formal recruitment. I wanted to attend this school to be apart of the Greek Life because it is known for greek life around the midwest along with the south...clearly. I have considered transferring to another school so I could join a sorority. I know it's dumb, but it is something I want to be apart of. Does this school and COB? Or informal rush? Would I even get a bid if I was released from the beginning?

call greek life office about COB, many chapters do it. Usually in early 2nd semester.

I know someone who just got a bid from COB. Ask Greek Life, it's kept really low-key because they only take a few girls. And you can always Spring rush (which is basically COB)!

I didn't get a bid either. I've been really bummed every since and want to transfer too.

Don't do that! Give things s chance. Get involved in other organizations, there are hundreds of things on campus to be involved in. Put your w energy into getting a great GPA. Which is the reason that you're here in the first place. If you are still really upset about not getting a bid then contact Greek Life office about the COB process. I know for a fact that AOPi gave out some COBs a few weeks ago. I'm not sure about any others, but I'd bet that if they had some to give out then other groups probably do as well! Network with friends in sororities and keep a positive attitude! You can also rush as s sophomore.

I've tried contacting the Greek Life office. I've called and no one answered and I've sent two emails and haven't heard a single response.

Try stopping by during office hours. That might help. Good Luck! In the meantime establish connections in the chapters that interest you and get involved in other organizations.

Would you suggest sending an email to each individual house?

I don't know that much about the process. I would think that it would show genuine interest though. Good Lucik!
