rushing as a sophmore

I'm planning to transfer to the UofA for my sophomore year (Fall 2016) and I needed someone to explain to me the whole deal on sophomores rushing. Is it a deal breaker? is it okay? A lot of my friends rushed this year and they tell me about their experiences with the whole thing. Is there anything to help your odds if being a sophomore is negative? Any advice or past experiences on this would be helpful.

Going thru IFC rush as a sophomore is not an obstacle.

I'm a girl and sometimes I wonder if i wasn't a soph if I would be in a different house. Its going to be harder, no doubt. But not impossible
