zta
by: PnmI know it's bad to prefer sororities over other ones before you go through rush and I'm not saying I prefer ZTA over the other houses since that wouldn't be fair, but can anybody tell me more about them? Like what are they like and stuff

How do you know that you prefer them over any other chapter if you don't know what they're like? You seriously hinder yourself if you go into recruitment with a certain house in mind. Focus on learning a lot about all the chapters and you'll find your perfect spot, which just might be Zeta!
#2by: (almost) a ZTA
Yes you are s'posed to enter recruitment with an open mind, but it's only natural to have a few houses in mind before rush. I had 3 houses I thought would "fit me" before rush, 2/3 were the houses I wound up pref-ing. 1/3 I really did not like, and I wound up loving a house I thought I would hate. So keep that in mind. If you know yourself well, you may already have an idea of where you want to go.. Just don't make that your only option!!
SO TO ANSWER UR QUESTION>>> I had ZTA the whole week and I really loved them. One of my very best friends went there, and she loves it. Their philanthropy is related to breast cancer, so it is a very emotional and sweet cause that all the girls rally behind. I felt their sisterhood was incredibly genuine. The one negative I would say, is that I don't think the girls there are very deep. I know a lot of girls who are more "air-headed" (including my friend) who are ZTAs. (For the record, that does NOT mean they are stupid, just more flighty) Overall, I really loved ZTA, my convos there were great all week, and majority of the girls I know from there, I am friends with. I did not wind up pref-ing ZTA because I didn't believe it was the best house for me, but I think they are a very good house at the U of A. Just go wherever your heart leads you, girl! You'll be fine.

Good for you, but many women go in with 3 chapters they think will "fit" them and then are released from those 3 chapters the first round because they actually would fit better in a different chapter.
Obsessing over a few chapters only hurts PNMs in the long run.
