If I don't have any rec letters for any of the houses, will I be cut entirely? I know a total of 3 people at UArk, wanting to venture out and be myself for once. Am I screwed?

You will need a rec letter for most of the houses. Not all of the houses require them, but it's always good to have them. Ask your friends moms, or go to each chapters websites and look around to find how to get an alum write a rec for you. It's not too bad if you just put a little research in! Good luck!

How do you get a rec letter from the newer sororities like AXO? Have they even had a class graduate yet? Also am very interested in AOPi but thought they were in same situation (first class not graduated) - not sure about that though. I have recs from all of the sororities but those 2 - am getting nervous!

The rec letters do not have to be from a UARK alumna!! Any AXO alumna from any school can help you out!

First off, to be given a bid you will need to have alumni support, which is where the recommendation letter comes into play. Newer houses will most likely give you a bid without one as they are trying to build their membership and some houses may even find you a rec if they like you enough. However, recommendation letters do NOT need to be from UA alumni. It could be any school. Ask your mom to create a closed Facebook group with all of her girl friends with a listing of all our sororities and ask if they are or know any alumni who would be willing to write recs. I would be shocked if there was nobody to be found. Good luck!

You need a letter of reccomendation for all houses. If you are from arkansas go to gogreeklittlerock.com. This is the state alumn Panhellenic site. There is a form there you can fill out and they can help you find alums for each chapter. If you are not from arkansas look for your state Panhellenic chapter

If you live in larger/more geographically diverse states they often have alumni chapters throughout the state. For example, San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles all have separate alumni chapters.
