With new member classes getting bigger and bigger every year than a house can accommodate, Arkansas need to expedite building new houses so more chapters can come onto campus. I know in the past they set different quota numbers for chapters so that everyone has about the same numbers, what if they set quota to whatever number determined before recruitment? Which mean that is the max amount they can have in a house. For example: say total is 400. If a sorority has 300 members going into rush, they can bid 100. If a sorority has 375, they can bid just 25. That is not fair or ideal, but the housing issues should be resolved.

Delta Zeta would be a better fit then the other sororities mentioned. Theta and DG had to close due to low numbers and other issues. Delta Zeta has a very strong southern base and would have the local alum support to help (and at Arkansas you HAVE to have that - just look what new sororities go through). I would not want to bring a sorority here that does not already have the alum nearby to help out year round (sorry sigma - you are great though!). I am not happy with what has happened to axo and they are so strong nationally- this is a hard school anymore for rush (was not in the past) and even with our huge rush - look how many dropped!! Go hogs- and we need to do a better job of supporting our girls and sororities we already have like AXO!!

how much better alumni support could you get than DG or THETA that actually attended UA? Has DZ ever been on campus? DG & Theta have been.

Alum Support but DG and Theta HAD to close due to issues with their chapters and low numbers. Trust me you would need to bring in the help needed to support your chapter and not rely on the alum that where part of your sororities at Arkansas.

we really need to give AXO a chance to establish themselves before you get another sorority anyways.

DZ only has one good chapter in Arkansas at UCA & they are embarrassed about their other chapters. Don't know what you mean about strong southern base because I can't think of anywhere in SEC where DZ is strong. AXO & Phi Mu left our campus due to low numbers and other issues too and they are doing okay. Stop acting like AXO is struggling they have a big chapter. Once houses are built the new groups will all do well.

We already told DZ no when they tried to come on campus last year. They could not survive against the rest of our strong groups.

Well Arkansas' Greek system is a bit messed up, I don't think that they get too much of a day anymore.

ua greek Life messed up???? what rock do you live under? all our groups have big numbers. guess there are a lot of girls who like us!

has been brutal this year. Major cuts after first round and many many girls dropped because they didn't get their top choice(s). Others cut by not ranking all 10 houses so there were no matches. Close to 300 dropped/were dropped after first round. I think even more will drop after they get this morning's schedule for today and tomorrow.
