rush

by: Kansas girl

I was wondering how much of an impact being a legacy has on rushing. I know that being a legacy gets you past the first round, but I also know certain sororities care more about being a legacy. Will being a pi phi legacy significantly help me during rush? Also what GPA is recommended for rush?

It will help you, and they will probably look more closely at you, but it does not guarantee you a bid. Also, because rush at UofA is very competitive, it helps more if you are a legacy of someone who went to Arkansas. Otherwise, it doesn't really have that big of an impact.

For KKG & Pi Phi & XO, your legacy is only considered a "real legacy" if it is a U of A legacy from a mom or a sister. Plain and simple. No aunts or cousins, no other schools.

I know that it only gets you past the first round for Chi-O and TriDelt as well. After that, you're on your own.
