At what point do girls get cut for their gpa? What is the red zone, yellow zone and green zone. For example at ole miss the red zone is anything below a 2.7, yellow zone= 2.8, 2,9 and green zone = 3.0 +. WHATS THE GPA REQUIREMENTS LIKE HErE

The GPA requirement is not too strict. As far as I'm aware we don't have "zones" but if you are below a 3.0 that might be a concern. You would still have a great chance at receiving a bid, but I would definitely try to make yourself as appealing as possible with your extra-curricular activities and having a dazzling personality. For girls with college GPA's it's possibly a bit of a disadvantage because the sorority will most likely look at your college GPA instead of your high school GPA, which in most cases isn't as high. I encourage girls to rush as a freshman in order to avoid that specific issue and to make the most of your experience.

At the University of Arkansas there are no such things as "zones". Depending on where you went to high school like some school districts the grade points are weighted and the rigor of known schools are taken into consideration anything below a 2.0 gpa is scrutinized however if there are extenuating circumstances as to that gpa then you best explain in when you send in your resumes. For the most part however sororities here tend to look for a more well rounded individual that have similar personalities to the women already in the house or whom would add to overall cohesion of the house. It's a fantastic experience and don't get bogged down by the specifics.

Okay thanks so much! Finally an informative answer! So is a 3.0 here good enough to get a house? My sisters friend who is a KD here (shes alum now) said it must be a 3.2, is there any sorority who would take a girl with a 3.0 seeing she is very well rounded? Im also concerned bc im oos and wont know a soul.

There are no "musts". A 3.0 is okay but you should realize that for most students college gpa's are lower than high school gpa's so you need to emphasize that you are ready and willing to improve on that. It doesn't matter that you don't know anyone unless the majority of girls going through formal recruitment don't know a lot maybe 2 or 3 so don't stress over it.

No zones,
But top houses cut anyone below a 3.0 by the second day
