Rushing as a senior
by: uncWhat are the chances of getting a bid? Has it been done before? Is it worth it?

The likelihood of a senior getting a bid from any house is very small. Chapters want members for four years preferably. Most seniors are checked out and/or doing internships, student teaching, etc getting ready to graduate. They don’t have much time to offer a chapter honestly.

I could possibly see APhi taking some seniors who are extremely connected and involved. Those women would be great bigs next semester, good ambassadors on campus, mature enough to not need a ton of babysitting and almost-instant alum support in a year or two. But there are also good arguments against it and only A Phi knows their strategy

Your best option is to go through the APhi recruitment.
When a sorority takes their first set of new members (charter members) they will take a mix of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and even seniors (so I was told by someone who was a charter member at another sorority at another school). This is so that they will not have everyone graduate at once.
I would stress to them you are looking for the "lifetime" experience of the other sorority.
The only girl I knew at UA who pledged as a senior did COB to a house where a lot if her friends were members. She was also a transfer her junior year from a smaller school in state.
