Sisterhood cuts
by: droppingWow this is actually awful and I can't believe I truly thought greek life was for me. Love to see the nasty bullies from my hometowns get 5 amazing houses back and me who minded my business in high school get 1 house back that I dont see myself in. This is so sad for me
#1by: please give it a chance
at least give the house you don't see yourself in a chance. When you go to the parties look around and see what other PNMs are around you. Also look at the other actives -- not just the ones youre talking to.
go through the whole process. you don't have to accept the bid in the end. BUT give hte house a chance.

story time --
my two at pref were a very high and a very low house. I really thought the high one wanted me. I opened the envelope on bid day adn it was the low one. I literally cried in the greek theater.
BUT I went with the lower one who wanted me. I took the chance. And I LOVE it! I'm even on exec and very involved.
There are 400--500 girls in this "low" sorority. If you can't find a grouop in 500 girls then that's on you

I didnt see myself in the last house I had either when I went through rush. But now I wouldnt have it any other way. I had the MOST amazing college experience and best of friends. I am so lucky to have had the life I had. Please dont give up, you have only talked to a handful of people from each house you couldnt possibly know them just like none or them truly know you talking to you for 30 minutes. Take a chance this may very well be the best decision you made. It’s always hard but I promise it’s all worth it in time. Give everyome a chance even if you didnt feel right day 1. You can drop at any point in your college career but before you throw it all away, find out what youre giving up.
Sending good positive vibes your way! Make the most of the rest of the week!

1) Your one house IS amazing. Take off the blinders and stop comparing your rush experience to anyone else's.
2) Those nasty high school bullies aren't going to be in your new member class. Yay!
3) If those girls continue to act the way they did in high school they are going to get the trouble they deserve in their sororities and on campus. This is not high school any more and better is expected. Their letters won't save them. Truth
4) You got this!
