Kappa, Pi Phi, & Chi O recruitment return rates
by: mr
Kappa, Pi Phi, and Chi O remain our top houses because of RFM and the houses' return rates. Panhellenic makes them release 75+% of pnms after the first round with further releases each round. Google release figure methodology (RFM) if you want to learn more. In comparison, for first round mid houses release closer to half and newer houses only 10-15%.
Kappa, Pi Phi, and Kappa have a 100% return rate for philanthropy round (going from 11 to 8 chapters) and for sisterhood (going from 8 to 5 chapters).
100%
That means every single pnm on their invite list ranked them in their top 8 for phil round and in their top 5 for sisterhood.
The top three houses lose to each other for pref. Kappa lost more of their top pnms in the last few years to Chi O and Pi Phi for pref, but I think they will do better this year. Their work week has been amazing.
Some will consider Zeta a top house since it is a little older than Pi Phi and Kappa, but they do not have 100% returns. Above 95% for philanthropy but it drops down some after that round. Zeta is a great house with really fun and outgoing members. In state pnms will almost always choose a top three house over Zeta. Out of state pnms will typically pref Zeta.
Recruitment of pnms starts very early (think sophomore year in hs). I think this is why people say that if you were going to get a bid from one of the top three houses you would already know.
Unless panhellenic changes the recruitment rules (and I don't know what they could do), I don't think the top houses will change either. It is not just Arkansas. Every campus with a significant Greek life community is like this. Top houses stay that way.

I personally didn't see it as bragging.
It seemed more informational. I would have liked to know this before I went through recruitment. I was naive and thought I had a chance. I wish I would have put at least one of them (or all of them) in my bottom three. \n\n\n\n\n
