How do I get more connections

Truth is if you don’t have connections you probably don’t really want to be in a connections necessary house. Girls that have connections means they already know so many people in that house and you’d be coming in as a total outsider making it so much harder to find your people.

This is so true. One of my friends wanted KKG really badly (not sure why, she wasn't a legacy and didn't know anyone here) but her parents "donated" a large sum of money to the chapter and sent gifts over the summer, so she got a bid. She regrets going Kappa because she feels like an outcast because everyone kind of already knows each other. She had great convos during rush but after that, the girls who recruited her ignored her.
My point is that real connections are typically formed over a long period of time (family friends, going to the same summer camp, same school etc.)
Following on insta may give you a chance but to be so real there were so many girls I followed/followed me that I did not even remember any to pull for when recruitment came around.

It’s still nice to have options during rush even if she pledges a clique-y sorority. Keep reaching out through social media!

Saying that parents "donated" and sent gifts to buy their daughter a bid is a lie and no chapter here would take a girl they didn't want for that. No chapter would fall for that bull$hit, yours wouldn't, you're just trying to shade a chapter you don't like.

Anyone can donate to a chapter's philanthopy or building fund but you can't donate to just a chapter. Dirty rush is one of the reasons why. Didn't happen @Real

Oh please if her mom was a kappa and is a big donator or “happened” to make a large contribution the year her daughter was rushing this could totally happen.
OP just said she didn’t know kappas at Arkansas. Maybe her mom was one. Or maybe her mom was one somewhere else. Either way this isn’t totally out of pocket

Hi!!! People will probably reply to this and call me a liar but this is my experience & I hope this is helpful. I had absolutely 0 connections in Chi O & Kappa and had them the entire time through rush as well as almost every other house I wanted. Not everyone has this experience, but just know it can happen! Don’t let people scare you. You’ll find where you’re meant to be :)

I ranked kappa and chi o at the bottom the first night. Not everyone wants them. They just think everyone wants them….

For real I don’t buy it. I do not believe someone had chi o/kappa all week with zero connections. Too many girls that are gorgeous with impeccable resumes that get cut from the top houses. Yep don’t buy it
