Out of State PNM
by: Connect4I’m going through rush next year from out of state. I have a high GPA and am a legacy to several sororities (Zeta, Phi Mu, ADPi, A-Phi and AGD) but not all have houses at UARk. I don’t have any connections so what are my chances of getting a bid? How can I make connections between now and rush to help my chances?

Hi pnm! I think you have a pretty good chance with ADPi and Phi Mu (I would be shocked if you were cut by either of them before philanthropy) ADPi and Phi Mu love their legacies, even if it’s not a legacy at Uark. With Zeta I’m not sure. I know a lot of Zeta legacies that were cut first round. I know they watch the PNM videos and social media is a big deal for them, so make sure your video is interesting and you insta is clean but fun and cute. You will do great during recruitment! Legacies don’t mean that much anymore but having any type of connection helps!

What house are you in? I didn’t think any house still gave legacies across the board preference like that? I mean sure if you or your mom knows someone. Automatic invite for all legacies would be like 100 girls which is why they stopped this.

You will love phi mu! They love their legacies. My roomie was both and phi mu legacy ( sister) and a zta legacy ( mom). Cut by zeta. Pledged phi mu and loves it! I am a KD and I hang with her and her sisters and she hangs with me and mine :)
