Pi phi/zeta the past two recruitments
by: CaraAnyone that has been a gamma chi the past two years knows that the majority girls rank both pi phi and zeta ahead of kappa. Why there are all these ranks still listing them right under chi o makes no sense. No one chooses them over chi o and very few choose them over pi phi or zeta. I know this is a blow to their ego but that’s reality. DDD ( even though this will get thumbs down and hate) is also often preffed over kappa.

Kappa always loses PNM's to Pi Phi and Chi O. I personally know a lot of PNM's who did that, but also many who preffed zeta and tri delt over kappa. A few even picked kd and phi mu instead of kappa. These were PNM's kappa wanted (not ones who would have been released). IDK what's been happening over the last three years but they need a major change in recruiting if they want to be back with the top houses again.

100 percent! Lots of girls choose based on who they liked during recruitment. I didn’t care what ranks said about kappa during recruitment they were so boring! I ranked them low after round two

For sure kappa has fallen. I know several girls that had options that chose to not take them to two party day.

Kappa is tied with DDD at this point. They get the girls they are friends with ( just like the other top houses) but the girls that have connections and a choice rarely pref kappa.

Cara has it right. There are some sororities that just don’t ever go beyond high school 2.0

i know girls on my floor that preffed kappa over chio/piphi. some piphi over kappa/chio. some chio over kappa/piphi. those 3 lose to each other even legacys but most only had 1 of those top houses left on pref if they had one at all. zta lots are out of state. zta has the party rep but most on campus and esp my floor are OVER chio at this point. major alcohol issues with a few in this pc they’re always passed out in fraternitys and our bathrooms

Maybe pi phi and zeta are the “favorites” but chi o and kappa still usually get their high school friends

I disagree. I am from out of state but went into recruitment knowing if given a choice I would choose both pi/phi and zeta over kappa. I am from Dallas and I know girls in kappa. They were not the “popular” girls in high school. Not even close. They simply had alumni pulling for them or possibly a mom who was a kappa. Kappa was fifth for me going into pref. So I do believe ranks change. I chose houses others would consider mid over them as well.

@Sydney. I am from out of state also and the girls from my high school went zeta which is why I didn’t want that house. They cut me anyway and I am assuming it’s because I wasn’t one of their popular friends. I think both pi phi and kappa have more down to earth girls.

If you think kappa has the more “down to earth” girls than clearly you do not know many of them.

They are with the top houses. Maybe fourth but still get the girls they want from high school
