Everyone can agree we need another house (or 3)
Everyone agrees the PCs are too big. How can you bond with almost 200 nms?
Everyone agrees Greek life at Arkansas is incredible
Everyone knows Arkansas is going to continue to have 2000+ PNMs
So WHY do people on here insist on tearing down houses that are lower and newer? All that’s going to do is make NO sorority want to start here — alum aren’t going to sink $$$$$$$ at a new place knowing their new chapter is going to struggle hard.
And if y’all keep making PNMs who read this site (because hello, that’s what it’s kind of for) NOT want to go to lower houses, causing numbers to drop so that a chapter might have to LEAVE then we’re really screwed because then we’ll only have TEN sorority’s with no prospects to start a new one.

As an alum, I’ve heard so much post grad about this! Sororities don’t want to establish chapters at arkansas… they feel like it’s already so competitive and with the huge emphasis on “top” houses why would they want to spend millions to just be average? Plus there’s no room on maple street for a mansion without buying something out and to be competitive they need to be on maple. After AGD coming to ark and then not, it just turned away a lot of potential sororities from being interested at coming to arkansas. I partially think Parice should be doing better at getting sororities interested as it’s her job but I truthfully think she knows that sororities aren’t excited about wanting to be here

UArk Panhellenic does nothing to support the newer houses, and they place so much emphasis on the older, more established houses. Why would a sorority want to spend millions on a house? It will just be put down and made fun of by others. Panhellenic does a good job of placing girls in a house after rush, but they need to find a way to make Greek life more friendly among all the houses so that girls will stay.

What happened with AGD not colonizing? When I graduated in '17 there was still talk of that happening if I remember correctly?

I think Zeta and ADPi would disagree that you have to be on Maple to be successful! I actually think they have it better not having to deal with all of the chaos on Maple!

That is a terrible rabbit hole that sororities aren't going to go down. What's next, a racial quota? A weight quota? Stop

Yep, there and Vandy and that's all they've got. Closed at Ole Miss, closed at Clemson (not SEC but comparable), kicked off at SMU (PKT in Texas is huge), just hanging on at Bama. Theta is not exactly thriving and opening new chapters at the moment.

The constant tearing down of houses is insane, especially from past alumni, we need to help the newer houses grow. UofA is getting too big to only have 11 sororities. And no other sorority will even think of coming here because of the constant bashing and lack of support.

The online ranking needs to stop. All our houses have great national support and great alum support. If they didn't they would not be here. What all the houses dont have is the support of the Greek community. Why do we have to say one house is "top tier" and the other is "bottom tier"? There are wonderful girls in the newer houses - if we want the newer houses to stay and any other house to come on campus we have to support them. Reach out to any and all PNM to congratulate them on accepting a big to their amazing house. The UofA Greek community is better than this. I challenge all the haters on this site to post one nice thing about a sorority they are not in. I'll start - I loved the pink and white balloons for bid day. Looks like they had a great bid day!!

Panhellenic saying it goes by cut numbers to decide who cuts the most first round is laughable. Houses like pi phi, zeta, and tri delt rarely get cut before sisterhood so how can the cut numbers only favor chi o and kappa? Top houses will never change because of this so why would a theta come on here and ruin their national reputation? They wouldn’t.
