I remember when rushing, I kept getting asked back by KKG even though I had zero connections and they weren't at the top of my list. I didn't end up there but I just remember thinking it was so weird. Weird things happen and people without connections can go to top houses. It's rare but it happens. With that being said, if your main concern is ending up at a top house, then maybe you need to focus elsewhere. Just enjoy bid day today. Top house or not, you'll find your people and you can be friends with people in other sororities too, which people seem to forget.
