Which houses give out snap bids on bid day?

Which houses give out snap bids on bid day? I know tri delt and zeta have in the past as well as kd, phi mu, axo, adpi, aoii, and dg. Is that all? How do you get your name out there for that option?

My guess is you’ve been cut from ones you were considered, and you want to drop out?

There isn’t a way to know if any will give out snap bids. It depends on if they made quota.

Zeta and tri delt have NOT giving out snap bids in the past two years. I was a gamma chi both of those years and I would have known.

Houses can only give out snap bids if they do not meet quota. A snap bid allows you to participate in bid day morning and be on the lawn. Houses can extend a COB that same day but it must be after bid day morning festivities are over. I really really really would not count on a snap bid.

If you were cut by a chapter they aren't going to miraculously turn around and offer you a bid.

It happened to my friend the year I rushed. Extremely rare though. IMO don’t bet on a snap bid. If you don’t care about being in a top house and aren’t having a good rush, drop and do COB in the spring.

Pnm's that a house releases in the early rounds are not going to be candidates for a snap bid from that house. They are going to look at pnm's they dropped right before pref for those.

The far more likely scenario for a snap is when a pnm drops right before pref, and if a house that wanted her back for pref needed to snap, they would go for her first. The pnm in these cases doesn't have any different options than she did before she dropped, because the snap comes from a house she still had left.

Pnm's, don't make an emotional decision because you don't like your pref houses. Your best chance for a bid and a great sorority life is formal rush.

There’s no way to k ow who is giving snaps until after recruitment.
Don’t count on it. If you were dropped by the one you wanted they’re not going to turn around and give you a snap bid.
If you have some houses left on your schedule GIVE THEM A CHANCE.
Or if you’re a snobby b|tch that only wants a certain house then maybe do them a favor and drop recruitment and hope you get a snap
