it’s gonna be okay - from a post grad
by: old and irrelevantwhen I was a freshman rushing I wanted to be a chi o soooo bad, I ended up at a middle top house. There were times I loved it and times I hated it. I met some amazing girls and there were also some mean girls. Each house has both. Yes, chi o/kappa/pi phi will get the attention from sigma chi and SAE, but guess what I know plenty of girls in every sorority and girls who weren’t in sororities that still got plentyyy of attention from the frats. People are gonna like you for you, and if they only like you and respect you according to what sorority you are in, I promise you are better off without them. look for a sorority that gives you the most opportunity to thrive and grow (which really is all of them but some do have little niches that might fit you better). your worth is not found in a sorority or how popular you are, and it never will be. as you get older you realize life is way too short to spend your time worrying about what hand sign you are gonna throw, worry about how you can better yourself and surround yourself with people that will love you beyond your letters. plus when you graduate and move to a new city no gives an actual f what sorority you were in
