Definitions and facts (why was this removed?!)
by: For PNMs
There was a good post with definitions but it was removed. It didn’t name any sororities or anything. Just facts. I guess some sororities felt threatened by the truth and paid to remove it?
Top = simply means the sororities that are hardest to get into. Heavy with Arkansas girls that all know each other. These sororities are hard to get into because there are so many Arkansas girls that go here (obv) and they want to be in the sorority their best friend from high school or sister or mom was in. The tops have the least amount of PNMs they can keep/biggest amount of cuts.
Connections = if you need connections to get in them that means ALMOST everyone in that house knows each other because they are…..connected. If you are OOS think about if you want to be in a sorority wheee everyone knows each other. It’s hard to break in, despite how sweet they’ll be during rush. If you’re someone with connections, think about whether you want a high school 2.0 experience or not. Maybe you do if you’re not ready to let go of the comfort of high school.
PNM ranks = you don’t really have any power here. You rank houses and put your least fav three as bottom. Even if you put them as bottom you can def get them back if the sorority doesn’t cut you. This happens a lot. If the sorority also cuts you then they won’t show up on your schedule. (Read the other post about the OOS girl who put the tops as bottom)
Resume = even a perfect resume wirh 4.0+ and activities and philanthropy won’t help much because SO MANY GIRLS have this exact same resume
Tiers = tend to be connections based and based on how long the sorority has been at Arkansas. Some put three tiers some put four tiers but they are NOT based on how good the sorority is. There is one sorority who is widely not liked but is top tier.
