Dirty rushing is common

Yep they do this so YOU don’t cut them first round. It is how they keep their retention rate between 95 to 100 percent ensuring Panhellenic still allows them to cut HEAVY night one giving them the appearance of being exclusive. If we had spring rush chi o would still be top founded here followed by zeta/pi phi. Kappa would not be a top house. I would argue they are the least liked house on campus.

I agree. It’s a cycle. They’ll keep getting big cuts because they’ll continue this kind of mean rush so PNMs rank them high.

I do not think chi o does this. Kappa does it big time! If they didn’t they would actually have to participate in rush versus being lazy and simply pick a pledge class out of the 600 girls they slammed with likes and follows. I was one of them and cut right before pref. To be honest I am not even sure how I got on their radar. I knew a couple of girls from high school but barely.

Kelly, does your family have lots of money or live in an expensive zip code? Or are you someone that has lots of followers on TikTok? Because those are big factors for Kappa. They actively go for those things

Yes! I had 50 kappas follow me in one day! They cut me before pref. So many girls I know had similiar stories. I didn’t have a connection because a girl I barely knew at church so was very surprised by the follows. Ofcourse I didn’t cut them first round after that. Makes sense they do this to keep their numbers high first round.

Same here. I was followed and had dm’s from numerous kappas, tri delts, and zetas. I was dropped by tri delt early on and dropped by kappa and zeta just before pref. I hope pnms read these comments and know that it happens to many girls with no connections. When I was going through it, I thought I was the only one.

Before I rushed tri delts flooded my insta!! I have zeta friends that have been basically bid promising pnm’s, taking them to frat parties, etc. I saw a zeta girl on tik tok talking about how she was dm’ing random zetas while she was in high school and they had her come up here for frat parties.

Kappa, Tri Delt, and ZTA do it. T there are several sororities that don’t do it at all.

Guess some sororities will do whatever it takes to stay on top. They know PNMs won’t list them at the bottom if a bunch of girls are following them. But then once they get the look of being wanted they’ll drop those same PNMs.

And some sororities don’t do this. If you’re NOT getting random follows from a certain sorority then that’s prob the sororities they play by the rules and don’t need to feel like they have something to prove.

Dirty rushing is promising to offer bids before recruitment. All houses do different versions of getting girls attention…like following girls on insta but that is not dirty rushing….read Panhellenic rules.

What I think is interesting is that everyone on here is so focused on how houses do massive follow dumps on insta or a girl got invited in the spring to zeta but no one seems concerned about the ANNUAL CHI O INVITE ONLY WEEKEND that they do EVERY spring!!! They secure their girls before spring is over which is DIRTY RUSHING. And unfortunately from that weekend they sometimes decide to not take a few. So don’t whine that you got insta follows from a house and then got cut. That is not dirty rushing. It could be worse…you could have gone to the special chi o invite weekend and then got cut. It’s sad.

Illegal. They should be turned in, and Chi O is FAR from a top house much less a top 3 house. Have you seen their pledge classes?
