Dirty rushing is common
by: Dirty
Hey PNMs. Are you excited because some top sororities are flooding your socials with follows?
Don’t be.
It’s part of the game …. Also called dirty rushing by some.
They’ll follow you like crazy and make you think you are SO special and then they’ll drop you right after you rank them as top of your list on first round.
You’ll notice some of the sororities don’t follow you at all. It’s not that they’re not interested. It’s that they’re not dirty rushing. And they’re not desperate.
Some people will argue flooding socials with follows isn’t dirty rushing because they’re not promising a bid, but doing stuff to make PNMs rank you high when they know they’re not going to give you a bid is dirty imo

The point is it happens. PNMs should be aware of this and what it means and DOESN’T mean if you’re suddenly being followed by a bunch of girls from one sorority.
It means nothing but that sorority wants you to not rank them low first round.
No reason to be all rude and hurt about it, unless you’re rude and hurt because now PNMs now no the truth and you wish they didn’t.

I didn’t know about the XO invite only weekend. Obviously I was not on their radar and I’m glad I wasn’t! That’s awful. Imagine going for that weekend and then they drop you. Obv I don’t know but I wonder if they wait several rounds before dropping the PNMs they don’t want.

Yep they do this so YOU don’t cut them first round. It is how they keep their retention rate between 95 to 100 percent ensuring Panhellenic still allows them to cut HEAVY night one giving them the appearance of being exclusive. If we had spring rush chi o would still be top founded here followed by zeta/pi phi. Kappa would not be a top house. I would argue they are the least liked house on campus.
