How many houses do spring rush?
by: PnmCan anyone tell me how many houses did spring rush this year in case things don’t go well for me in the fall? If anyone joined in spring can you explain how the process went and if you rushed in the fall? Are you allowed to do both?

Please understand that "spring rush" is not really a good descriptor. Sororities do COB (Continuous Open Bidding) in spring if they have some open spots, that's all. It's not a real rush week organized by panhellenic, and every sorority does its own thing. Some will announce they have some open spots so interested pnm's can come forward, and others will not announce anything and just offer a few bids on the DL to girls they already know. The number of open spots at any house varies from year to year depending on December graduations and other circumstances. To get a spring COB you really need to get to know members in houses during fall and let them know you are interested in a bid, but your choices are limited because not every house will have spots or announce they have them. Your very best chance for a bid is in fall. If fall rush doesn't work out for you, you can try for a bid in spring, but only if you were NOT offered a bid in fall. Being offered a bid in fall, and declining it or accepting and dropping, makes you ineligible for another bid for a year, until the next fall rush. Hope this helps.
