What are my chances?

by:

Wondering what my chances are at KD, Tridelt and Adpi as an out of state who doesn't know anyone at all. (Not from Texas or Arkansas). What GPA and stuff do I need or should I be aiming for a lower house?

For Tri Delt and KD, you will need a very high GPA. I’m unsure of ADPi’s cutoff.
With so many girls going through recruitment, gpa makes the first cuts easy.

My roommates are kd and adpi and you have to have a high gpa for both. Both are great though. Just be yourself with these two houses

No. As long as you make the gpa cut ( above 3.3/4 than you won’t get cut from any of those houses for gpa

There were many of us in our gamma chi group who had 4.0 and above and we were all cut from kkg, pi phi, chi o, zta, ddd, and kd after the first round. We were all oos, so we did not have connections. We only had videos for the first round and I think not being able to actually talk to members from the houses that round was extra brutal for oos pnms who did not know anyone.

I don’t think you should go in aiming for any house. Just go in as yourself and see which one you fit into. Believe me bottom houses at uark aren’t like bottom houses any where else. I know everyone talks a lot of crap on here but all these houses are great don’t listen to these moms or girls still acting like high schoolers.

Agree! You would not be able to tell a girl is in a lower ranked house from a top house at uark. Only real difference is having connections and a slightly higher gpa

The higher your gpa the better for sure but if you’re 3.5+ you should be fine. Resume is important too.

Not to try to scare any of the pnms, but my roommate had a 4.3 and I had a 3.7 and were released from all the top houses after the first round and then tri delt and kd the next round. It is more about who you know than what grades you have.
We are both in a lower house and are very happy. Just have an open mind and you can find your people in any house.

it honestly depends on who you talk to and if you stand out to them. connections go a long way with these houses but they are not necessary like with the top 4. make sure you are clearly interested in that chapter, this is something actives are looking for and rating you on.

as an oos with no connections, you really need to go into recruitment with an open mind. you’ll likely end up disappointed if you go in only hoping for certain sororities. grades matter for first round cuts but not so much after that. all sororities at uark are great!!!!

If you have no connections, then you don’t know anyone in those houses — so why do you think you want one of those three when you’re not even here yet?
This is an honest question.

Axo is on level with these houses too, keep them as an option as well!

good house, but no they are not on level with tri delt, kd, or adpi yet. Axo's recruitment numbers are just below phi mu but above dg and aoii.

hi so when I was on the recruiting side of adpi a while back grades we’re definitely important but it was more so about personality. I personally did not want to invite someone back if I felt they were being genuine. The girls I pulled for were the ones that I had fun conversations with about their GENUINE interests. I met some really cool girls this way that grew to be my good friends once they were in (tbh I did not look at grades once). Basically if u can get past the first round, your grades do not matter. (Also if you hit it off with someone on the first round, your grades will not matter). So moral of the story … (and I think the other houses u listed are similar), be genuine. Talk about what you like. Go into similarities you share with the girl you are talking to & you will be fine love! Best of luck.
