Top House - Not so "Top" after all
by: PC 2026I'm from OOS and thought I was lucky enough to land in the "top house" on bid day. However, I've realized that it is full of clicks and mean girls. I'm trying so hard to meet people and make friends just to continually be ignored. Nobody talks to me when I'm at the house and nobody bothers to respond to any of my texts. Just constant rejections because I'm not part of the "in crowd" from high school and I didn't know anyone coming into the sorority. Joined a sorority to make lifelong friends, but instead I've been more depressed than ever.

Yes! Totally agree with @me. Reach out to girls from other houses. My large friend group is 80 percent a different sorority than mine and that’s ok! I am also in a top house and I will say during recruitment it is easier to be in a top house. That is the only time it matters at all though!

I’m so sorry you are not finding friendly people. I bet with PCs being so big there are other girls who feel this way. Hopefully you find them soon ❤️

i cut ranked chi o fourth going into pref. a girl from my hometown had a lonely experience and i was afraid that would be me. my advice is to reach out to girls from other houses. pi phis are super sweet, zetas have friends in all houses, adpi’s are so fun, one of my best friends is an axo…. recruitment next year will help bond you with girls in your sorority as well as living in house if you decide to do that.
