pnm and social media

If a pnm does not post a lot on Instagram does that look negative to active members? Just wondering bc I do not post alot- and there seem to be people like me who don’t post daily or every event of their existence. Hoping to hear some input from y’all.

I think it could help to portray a fun person with lots of friends for certain houses. KD, Pi Phi and maybe Tri Delt will care more about your resume than being super social. Chi o really is all about connections. They have great girls but the vast majority have a close connection to either an in house girl or a very important alum.

Having a fun IG paige does help. We show our friends girls we are interested in by pulling up their Instagram. Girls that keep their insta private have a huge disadvantage

Hi!! I am a part of pc’22 and I don’t know how it is on the other side yet, but I will tell you what I have always heard. Make your social media public!! However, resumes MATTER, so start building it girl. I hope you have a great rush experience

Hey girl. Yes a nice fun insta will help but only having a fun insta won’t necessarily put you ahead of others. Every house has girls with thousands of followers and girls with a couple hundred. It’s just a way for us to kind of get a general vibe. Don’t think about it too much. You will be taking lots of fun pics next year anyway.

Yes. It matters. It all matters. Your connections and resume will matter more though!

Your resume doesn’t matter as much as people on here as much as people say it does. Unless it’s extraordinary, like you’re a pageant winner or you solved global warming or something. Rush is about connections, conversations, and luck.
