KAPPA OPINION!!!!!

kappa is not respected, liked, or anything. they are the most disliked house and girls on campus. Even kappa girls admit they are mean and snobby. 10% are good sweet girls. maybe more but they’re overshadowed by the awful ones.
They rush only family and close friends, while bid promising every girl in the recruitment process so they have a higher return rate. they don’t put any effort into recruiting or hell anything this year at all. Their banners literally look like a child drew them. it’s so pathetic!
they are not liked on campus, so why are they in the top 4???? Don’t say because they have good return rates, because that is not true this year. they lost girls to tri delt, axo, adpi, and even dg. Sure they have good alumni support, but that’s literally it. they should NOT be as high as they are. simple.
Disclaimer: obviously there are good girls, and I know that for a fact. but overall they’re just snobby rich girls that feel like they deserve a red carpet everywhere they go. it gives sorority and greek life a bad name.

Retention is how many girls stay in their sorority yearly/drop from Bid Day to Graduation Day.
RFM is where campus Panhellenic keeps the statistics on how many PNMs rank houses as number 1 (to keep) vs number 2-4 in order (to drop).
Just going to leave this here. Retention rates for every sorority has been posted several times.

I dropped them after round two and know atleast one other girl that did as well. I can’t imagine they had a 99 percent retention rate this year

Well then I must know the .1 % because I know of four girls that preffed a mid over Kappa. Two in my GX group and two in my dorm.

@ok — The post that says she knows girls who chose mid over Kappa didn’t name the mids. You named four mids and she’s saying those aren’t the exact ones.

gonna have to disagree. I think they’re the most down to earth girls on campus. banners aren’t the best but that shouldn’t be an overall representation of the girls. They deserve to be in at least top three. Maybe you had a bad experience with a girl or group of girls but you shouldn’t let that be your whole image of Kappa. Did you get dropped?…

Every PNM has to choose three to list at the bottom. I’m sure each PNM has their own way of listing. Your comments sound like you’re hurt that Kappa was listed last by this girl. It’s not shocking — someone is last and from my GC group several girls did put Kappa last. Someone put XO last. And I put PM last.
If PNMs are not allowed to meet chapters before listing then it’s safe to say a LOT of PNMs make their decisions off of this site, Instagram, and word of mouth.
How would YOU suggest this girl should have decided?

fun fact kappas recruitment girls sister and kappa and axo on pref. she went kappa ofc but kappa is competing with axo.

Kappa (or any of the top houses) do not compete with axo. Most pmns on pref do not have two top houses. There were many pmns in my group who had a top house and either a mid or bottom house. Several of them chose the mid house over the top house.

That was my point though? mid houses and top houses competing and the mid houses winning? Also.. I do have insider info on recruitment and that is 100% true.

none of the top houses compete with mid/low tiers (not saying they can’t lose one or so girls to them) If you have a top on pref you will most likely have a mid/bottom house as well. Tops only “lose” to other tops.

Doesn’t every sorority lose some girls to another sorority?
Kappa lost girls to mids, not just pi phi or whatever. And Pi Phi lost some girls to Kappa, and also to mids.
Mids lost to Kappa and Chi O and Pi Phi and to other mids.
I just don’t get why some people say “well Chio/KKG/pi phi/whoever lost girls to (fill in the blank)”.

The top houses don’t want to admit a PNM would purposely choose a mid over them but it happens often.
