Trust Yourself
by: therealteaPNMs keep in mind there are over 7,000 sorority members & over 29,000 UARK students, not a few hundred (like the thumbs up or down). There are insecure women that constantly want to make themselves feel better by bashing others with their "real" ranks (I hope they are just immature freshman and not moms or alumni). As mentioned in other posts you will be at a great disadvantage if you don't trust yourself during rush. This choice is a SELF DECISION, you make it by yourself for yourself because if you don't it will be a huge waste of money and time. This is not like the movies, you will be lucky to bond with 10 girls, the pledge classes are nearly 200 hundred each and guess what many girls come to UARK with friends making it that much harder to make those strong connections. So if you feel a bond at rush with a house give it a chance. Rush is a big theatrical show, and I assure you not always the most genuine experience. I'd personally take these "real" ranks with a grain of salt and think for yourself. Look on sorority social medias maybe ask NON GREEK UARK students what they think, because everyone that is Greek is biased on their house. I hate to break it to you but sadly most times the decision is made for you even though you are lead to believe you have this huge choice to make (maybe on pref. night is all). Whatever you do come to UARK rush with an open mind!

We literally just lost a member of our UARK sorority family and we still have people worried about “real” ranks. Seriously?! Live your best life and stop worrying about other people and their perceptions. You only get one life, don’t waste it being petty and immature. Learn to lift others up!

Today is our fellow UARK sorority members memorial service, can we please for one day appreciate life and the importance of your personal legacy. Please learn to love yourself and not worry about what others think of you. In the end the “real” rank does not matter, what matters is what others thought of you personally.

My roommate did not SIP and got her second house. It was the house she tried to drop every round. She decided to give it a try but was very unhappy. She got initiated and still didn't like it, so she dropped this semester. She's out thousands of dollars and cannot do a cob in the future because she got initiated instead of dropping before that.
